Did You Know?
The PTA is one of the oldest and largest child advocacy associations in America. Today’s PTA is comprised of members who share a commitment to making a difference in the education, health, and safety of all children. It is an organization that promotes collaboration among parents, the school, and the community.
Your children are important to you and they are important to us! We know that children learn more and perform better in school when everyone in the school community works together to share thoughts, experiences, and collaborates on projects that benefit our children.
SMSD Circle of Kindness
This April, Benninghoven will again join with Rising Star, Christa McAuliffe, Mill Creek, and Lenexa Hills for a Circle of Kindness service project!
April 1-5
During the week of April 1-5, each participating school will collect certain items. Benninghoven will collect body wash, deodorant, and toilet paper. Both travel sized AND full sized body wash and deodorant are accepted! A collection bin will be located next to the Knight.
April 6
On Saturday, April 6 from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, families from the participating schools are invited to come to Rising Star to help assemble the toiletry kits. This is a quick, fun service project and a great way for our students to join with others to benefit various local entities including SMSD Title Schools, SMSD Project Home, Johnson County Human Services and City Union Mission.
