Secret Samaritans

The Secret Samaritans seek to remove obstacles to school performance and attendance by providing assistance that enable students the ability to equitably learn and attend school with their peers.

SMAC Clothing Exchange

The Clothing Exchange offers gently used clothing and shoes to those within the SMSD boundaries. All items are clean. Donations are made possible by SMSD residents.

Picture Days

Two picture days each year along with make-up options are organized by the PTA. At the end of school year, students can also purchase a yearbook that highlights student artwork celebrates their special moments throughout the year.

Book Fairs

Fall and Spring Book Fairs promote reading and literacy, foster community engagement, inspire both readers and writers, celebrate cultural diversity and support the publishing industry,

Skate Parties

PTA offers four skating parties at Skate City per school year and a percentage of the proceeds come back to Benninghoven!

Kindness Week

Our school participates in The Great Kindness Challenge every year. The program empowers students to create a culture of kindness through fun activities.

Veterans' Day Celebration

The Benninghoven Veteran's Celebration is an annual event dedicated to honoring the brave family members who have served in the armed forces.  This special occasion brings together family, friends, and the community, fostering a spirit of gratitude and remembrance.

Playground Nights

The PTA hosts multiple afterschool playground nights for members of the Benninghoven community to come together, play, and get to know each other.

Bike Rodeo

The PTA is an annual sponsor of the Shawnee Rotary Club's Bike Safety Rodeo. This event is open to all students.  It is held in the SMNW parking lot and features, food, games, free helmets and more.

John Weber Day

 In 2021, Shawnee Mayor Michelle Distler made a proclamation making May 5th “John Weber Day” in the city. Crossing guard, John Weber has helped Benninghoven and SMNW students at the intersection of 67th and Caenen cross the street safely every day for more than a decade.

Welcome Committee

Welcome committee volunteers assemble bags filled with useful information and goodies to help new Benninghoven families feel right at home.

Our Spirit Wear offers uniquely designed grade level shirts and merchandise created by our talented graphic designer and dedicated volunteers. Show your school pride and support by purchasing these special items that celebrate our community!
